(can we get the fancy mate links under our names now :'D)

First, he could see the joy glowing behind her mismatched eyes. It came on as a newborn flame, a smoldering ember that soon erupted into a roaring blaze, lighting everything in contact. He watched her happiness evolve and found it intriguing, completely enveloped in observing the sensation when she suddenly leaped at him. The action startled him; he braced his limbs, preparing to catch the woman. He laid back his ears and stiffened, supporting her as she planted thousands of tender kisses on his face. Her warmth, though unexpected, was cherished; a pleasant purr erupted from his throat as she grazed him relentlessly before falling back on her paws.

Making her happy had been his ultimate goal. The dragon wished for no more than to see her smile, to know she was satisfied. If calling him her mate did that, then he would accept it, and he would do the same. Raheerah had not envisioned himself tolerating any creature enough to claim them as his wife. But, at its core, they shared an ideal; the achievement of strength. The striving for perfection, for justice; they would work alongside one another in pristine tandem, and compliment each other in that way. He leaned forward and placed his chin atop her head, a content purr rumbling from his throat.
