The ancestral tug to target animals that were weak, sick or otherwise unproductive wasn't one she fully understood. She believed they went after sick and injured animals to make it easier, and truly it did work that way. She wasn't as aware of the other reason, and so her nod was only half-hearted, for she believed a bird heavy with eggs would make an even finer meal, but didn't want to risk offending the true bird hunter by suggesting it.

"Maybe one," Saena said, having never been much of a collector of anything. One feather to scoot around the den would be fun, and her pups would probably appreciate it in the future.
