Lagertha nodded, realising the man was a prophet of Eir. Lag wouldn't have gone so far as to call him a völva, typically that was a woman's world in Kattegat. Hesitant to ask him if he was such, given that he hadn't spoken her language and thus wouldn't probably know her customs or Gods either, Lag decided that was the closest thing she could account to being a healer.
"Vhat they do?" The Valkyrie moved closer, gesturing to the herbs he had given her the names of. The world fascinated her, the Shield-maiden wanted to learn everything and anything.
Sitting down, Lagertha stared at him expectantly. He could always get out of teaching her by saying he was busy or had to go, but for now the Viking woman had been intrigued by his medicines.

side note: Eir is a goddess thought to help with healing. A völva is a shamanic witch whom was usually associated with medicine.
