All Welcome
Morning light, with the shimmer of the sun’s ray through the dancing branches awoke her. Upon her face a light flickered among the dark surroundings. The tall regal cedar trees stood like tall pillars around here. Here she felt peaceful among the silence and solitude, not wanting or needing anything. Although it was a dark and shadow-like place with the trees blocking off much of the sunlight during this early morning she knew nothing could harm her here. She was like the fire that met the gasoline.

In the distance squirrels quibbled out loud, one chasing the other as if life was just a simple game of tag. Lazily Digit watched the playfulness of the small creatures. She could have looked at it for hours. In reality it turned out to be more like minutes. Her stomach rumbled and ‘hunger’ was knocking on her door. No way – she muttered crisply, breaking off the early morning silence. This meant an end to her eternal laziness, time to get up and do something. Instead, however, she yawned slowly, exposing her teeth to the world. This was her answer to her hunger. Maybe next time, or maybe not. Would the squirrels enjoy a game of tag with her?
