A wicked grin escaped his muzzle as she'd pressed forward into the mire, apparently adamant to prove him wrong about keeping her paws dry. Instead of retorting that she shouldn't make conclusions either, there were some deep hidden holes in that mud, ones the larger fish often liked to make themselves comfortable in, he kept it to himself and let her go. She'd figure it out sooner or later, and he couldn't say he didn't enjoy the view.

"Useless as I may be, I could sure find some uses for you, Phoenix." He smirked, keeping along the banks as the sun set her red coat on fire. As it were, they were actually headed in the same direction. He and his brother had made a home out of Shadow Mountain, but as Logan sometimes got wanderlust, he'd decided to explore some of the places he hadn't quite seen yet. Never a bad idea to get a lay of the land, or to get word from the winds on what types of packs lived nearby.
