By the time Arlo has covered the dunes and reached the other side, she hasn’t caught up with him. He turns around to see her yet to come over and so he turns back to see the section of ground he’s come upon. Most of the snow in this area has long been melted and the ground dryer, leaving fresh blades of grass to help wipe away the excess sand from getting out of the ocean. He lifts his head to look over his shoulder to not see her coming and he frowns, wondering if she’d just gone off on her own business and disregarded his help.

When he heads back over the mound, he immediately takes a few leaping bounds to come up near where she’s managed to eat several mouthfuls of sand.

“That’s kind of the opposite of what I said,” he tells her with a quirk of his brow as he comes around, offering support to one side if she needed to lean. “You may want to go back in to get all this off again,” he says. Once she’s steady on her feet, Arlo backs up she should not like the help to begin with—noted from her sass, anyway—and offers a (hopefully) charming enough smile to soften her up.
