The mountains that Jude travelled over gave way to an odd collection of smaller mountains, and in the middle was a basin. It had begun to snow, and she was becoming chilled. The southern plains wolf was not used to such frigid temperatures, she wasn’t sure she liked it all too much. But at least she was surviving, so it wasn’t all bad. Knowing she would have to find somewhere to settle down for a bit, the golden warrior started down into the snowy basin, assuming down there somewhere there was some sort of cave or cozy spot, at least something a little warmer as opposed to the windy crest she stood on now.

When she reached near the bottom of the snowy basin, she saw a small speck of color in the distance. Another wolf she presumed. Normally she would’ve kept on moving, seeing as she was given her independence and was relishing in it. But not this time. This time she needed warmth, of any kind. A warm body to snuggle up with would do. Putting away her aggressive self, Jude put on her innocent friendly guise, as it was much easier to get in someone’s favor when you looked kind.

She trotted towards the other and let out a chuff, her tail swinging behind her in a relaxed manner.
