Wapun Meadow Glorious goldenrods

She had never gotten to see her mother treat Wapun Meadow with the same posessive grace that Nunataq carried.  Maybe if she had she would feel differently about being apprehended in no-man's-land.  Her stomach rolled, but her hackles raised.  Yakone did not carry the same confidence that Nunataq did, but she was her mother's daughter.  She did not waver as the other girl approached her on stiff legs, as if she were defending the Valley itself.

Her tail curled gently as her sister approached, and she raised herself to her full height.  Unlike her siblings she knew of their relation and she would like to keep their relationship intact.  The guard hairs flattened, and her tail began a slow, steady wag.  Hi, she began, I'm Yakone.  I'm Xan's daughter, like you.
