Seaside Moors i'm headed straight for the castle

The night air clung to her pelt but she could find little rest. Living as a lone wolf had adjusted her lifestyle to simply suit herself—she slept when tired, hunted when hungry and traveled when the opportunity arose. There were no others to adjust her schedule to. It sounded freeing, but in truth it remained vastly lonely.

The girl loped beneath the dappled light of the stars and moon, hidden every so often as clouds drifted above. There was little noise—spare for the rush of the tide as it ebbed in and out along the shoreline, even though she was not directly beside it.

The seagulls had quieted in the lull of the night, and the pale ranger found herself stilling as she came upon the smoothest and flattest rock she had seen. It jutted only ever so from the frozen grounds, blinking as frost blanketed over it. Her breath unfurled in the cold air before her, but it was a frown that drew her delicate features downward.

Ketzia studied the shell of the broken crab, blinking as she tried to consider what creature it had been once upon a time. Never before had she seen anything like it, and she could barely withhold the wrinkle in her jowls at her distaste for the ugly thing.
