well, there she went.

kiyya didn't have the desire to chase after her, at first. she'd done a good job of smacking his face around and when she left him there, he sank in to a pout and melted in to his puppy fat, frowning.

between chasing tiye and finding his way backwards, the easier option was simply to go where his sister had gone, in to the light, even if it seemed like the wrong thing to do. the boy sniffles, gathering phlegm a few times and trying his best to get back to his feet.

fat, gobby tears cling to his lash line as he waddles in to the light, and when he feels the warmth of the sun upon his face he squints in to it, feeling those same tears finally pop free and roll down his cheeks. somewhere ahead of him was tiye, but there was no way for kiyya to see through his baby blues.
