Kadence's velvety black pelt blended with the shadows but stood out sharply with the soft white snow that coated the forest. Her paws stilled as she came to a soft dip it the ground that had been sheltered by the trees and remained dry and snowless. She padded into it and lay down in one elegant movement. She stretched out her long legs and set to work at grooming her glossy fur to an even higher level of perfection.

As she worked, she thought about all the things that had happened lately. There was the battle with the Creek wolves, in which they kicked ass in, the encounter with Grimnir, which had been rather, how to put it, interesting. She shivered a bit thinking about it again, recalling the plan that had formed in her head. It was time to carry that out. That was when she felt the distinct prickle of eyes on her fur. Instead of lifting her head like she normally would, she just continued to preen herself, stretching her body to show every curve. If someone was watching her, she might as well give them a show.
