For the most part, Kove had remained silent. It was only when Cicero arrived did he make a sound, a faint growl in his throat that was directed towards the woman in the den and the man that guarded her. Burke's mind had been clouded by the bastards that she had been carrying, and as a result the boy he'd declared as his son had been left to starve. None of them were especially fit anymore, but he looked, by far, worse off than any of them. It was almost painful to look at him, but the Inuit did not avert his gaze. No, he'd allowed his stare to linger on the other, disbelief present in his eyes as he'd then looked to the greying male. The physical state of the younger lupine was a terrible thing, and he could see no one as being to blame for it except the alleged leader. Perhaps the course of his thoughts were fueled by the words of everyone else, or perhaps he'd come to the conclusion all on his own—no matter the path he'd taken, he'd ended up at the same location, and it only made him feel more confident in his decision to side with the true heir to the throne.

"The one thing that everyone must swear on before being welcomed into the Brotherhood is that they will not break the tenets, yet you've done exactly that," Kove voiced, inserting his two cents into the conversation. "Are you still a Brother, Burke? Or have you turned your back on the Brotherhood, just as you have the pack and your family, in favour of an outsider?" He stepped closer, then, but did not pass Damien's form. He stayed back, his actions showing that the prince had his support in whatever he decided to do. It was time for a change, it was time for the pack to return to its former glory, and for the Brotherhood to be made strong again. Beneath Burke's leadership, the pale wolf did not believe such feats could ever be achieved, but with Damien? All would be as it once was, he was certain of it.
