A small part of her wanted to be impressed by this silver wolf with more balls and personality than her tiny little frame could possibly contain. But instead, she smarted at the sting of her words. Her uncomfortably true and unforgivably shaming words.

"I'm not part of this pack anymore," Liffey spat back, shaking as she said it, "I haven't been since you decided it was more important to be my alpha than my mom. I don't belong here, and I am done following an alpha who only sees me as just some other wolf in their pack instead of actually seeing me."
