Thunder echoed between the clouds overhead. It was a gentle sound that made a nice companion to the quiet pitter patter of raindrops on the drooping limbs of the willow trees through which Liffey was currently wandering. She peered skyward between the dripping boughs to gaze at the clouds, trying to gauge just how much of this weather they had left. The sky had lightened considerably, and so the young meteorologist anticipated that the sun would be peeking through in just a few short minutes.

A raindrop snuck through the trees at that moment and plopped on the bridge of her muzzle, splashing into her eyes. She dipped her nose, giving her head a good shake that traveled right along her spine. Her fur fluffed out around her in the humidity making her look unwittingly adorable as she began to weave through the willows.
