Artaax was on his feet and moving at the sound of the call. Nomi's lesson was still fresh in his mind from when she had last gathered the family about her. He was breathless and panting by the time he reached Eske, but he grinned proudly and lifted his chin, feeling like a champion. He looked at the older wolf with this posture for only a few seconds before he remembered himself and shrank respectfully, feeling suddenly, inexplicably sheepish. His tail wagged as he crept forward to greet her, his head bowing low, but eyes still glinting with energy.
