So instead of replying to Airi's comment with instructions, he simply nodded and swallowed reason. Rannoch might be furious that he left them to their own devices but, at this point, he was only focused on finding his brother and assessing his condition with his own eyes. Not that he didn't trust Hydra—quite the contrary, really. But this was something he needed to get his paws on, and sitting in Northstar Vale waiting for the unknown wouldn't be enough.

We'll have answers soon." He said, though it wasn't clear if it was towards Hydra, Airi, or both. With little aplomb, he picked up his paws and took up a place near Hydra. He felt a desperate longing as his eyes turned from the Vale for the first time in over a season—he wanted Cypress to emerge from the shadows and nose his ruff, or for Rannoch to offer some kind words to keep him grounded. Rian felt exposed and, if not for Hydra's steadiness, he might have launched himself into the wilds towards Moonspear.
