Over the last couple of weeks - god, had it really been that long? - Ivy thought about stopping by her brother's pack.  Figuring Delight's invitation was nothing more than a formality extended to any wolf who managed to not get under his skin, she didn't give the gesture much credence at first.  Then time wore on.  The days and nights grew bitterly cold.  Mato might not greet her with open arms, but he'd probably let her rest within his borders for a night or two.  That was all she really needed.

Or could handle.

Cedar Sweep had been good to her.  Water as she needed it, enough small game to keep her going.  At her core Ivy was a simple woman who depended on herself.  She could trust herself.  A sharp huff left her as she snickered - trust issues were hardly the most pressing right now.  Her gray paws padded on through the snow to nowhere in particular but it didn't bother her.  Having eaten recently, the thin female wasn't necessarily looking for a meal, but she needed to keep moving today.  A body in motion meant a body kept warm.
