as the girl waited for her sight to adjust, she studied the stone haven around them. in the back, tucked by the gloom and barely visible, was the resting haunch of a doe. scarcely more vivid against the darkness was terance's pelt, though it reflected some dim-blue light off of it, and she could see the startling emerald of his sharp gaze.
the cave slowly swam into focus. like her, he had been startled by her abrupt arrival. a parsed smile gently lifted her lips at his exclamation, but it was quick to fade.
"god, you scared me. i was following something. i didn't know it would storm like this." the redleaf girl gestured outside, where snow fell in thick thrums and obscured the world in a dull and lightless grey. "what are you doing here?"
