A thread with my favorite two characters: YES PLEASE @Horosk

"So what now?"

Three words. Nine letters. A comfirmation of how much he cared.

It was as if the weight of the world lifted off of her shoulders. That lingering fear, the one that whispered to her that anything she gained would always be swept away, faded to the recesses of her mind. Anticipation fluttered from the tip of her spine down to the claws on her mitts. Those words were all it took for her to finally allow herself to think about what the future could be like with Horosk by her side.

Mira would spend every one of those days she was alone over agian just to be able to repeat this moment for the rest of her life. This was the person who had shared his deepest secrets with her, his darkest fears. Yet he stood before her with a glint of adventure in his amethyst eyes. Those eyes he shared with that dark wraith of a woman. The fae wondered if perhaps that was why she had never seen him look into the water back in the Bypass, or perhaps it simply never happened. She doubted it.

That land, that valley held so many beautiful memories, yet it also harbored some of the worst memories from her life. Fear, sadness, loneliness had cornered her in that territory.

The dove realized she had been staring off, realized that her face had molded into the three emotions she hid in the darkest reaches of her heart. In seconds they were wiped clean, but she knew he had seen them, she knew that if she met his gaze it would have mirrored hers. Instead she cleared her throat, shifting from one delicate paw to the next.

"Perhaps we should find a new home?" Away from Her. Away from that unbearable terror and pain. She met his gaze, questions laden in that single glance.
