Fairspell Meadow If the heavens ever did speak...continued

They had stood in this very spot months before. Stood here filled with the same joy and excitement as they did today, if not less. Yet the beautiful, mountainous terrain carried the weight of their past conversation. It hovered in the air, as thick as the sap seeping from the trees. Semira could feel it pressing down on her chest, but chose instead to remember the light shining in those bright, ameranthine eyes. Just as they did now, gazing down upon her.

Perhaps it had been fate that lead them back to this place: the beginning of their journey, the end of the one before. The place that had been the end of her loneliness. Or perhaps neither of them had noticed the tug of the North, the cries of their old home, pulling them back towards the lush meadows and vibrant forests of the Bypass. Part of her knew it to be true. Part of her was convinced that she simply wanted to explore the uncharted Northern lands.

Semira could imagine the snow dipped mountains, branches hanging with the weight of snow. In the warmer seasons cool breezes would brush away memories of the heat of southern summers. She wanted a place that felt: right. She wanted somewhere where she and Hor could settle down. The image of small paw prints in freshly lain powder fluttered across her minds eye. A blurry depiction, but it was enough to make her wandering thoughts pause - stutter. 

The fae gave Horosk a broad grin, her amber eyes glimmering with unspoken delight, the image growing clearer in her mind. "I want to go North." Her mind was set, and she knew the male would agree with practially anything she suggested. He was smitten, and it was absolutely adorable. "Past the Bypass.." She added quickly, not wanting to bring back any of the unpleasant memories. They had not spoken much about them, but the woman knew that they would when the time came. Their trip had been too lovely to focus on the past, not when they had a beautiful future ahead of them.
