As silence fell over them with him thinking she shifted her weight and flicked her tail. Then he spoke about woods with crying foxes and... a boy? She furrowed her brow, could he know what a human is? 

“A human? You saw one?” She said in disbelief. Obviously he wouldn’t make up that story, but she wasn’t entirely sure if he did see one. Her heart was racing at this point.
