pure exhaustion had eventually forced the fae's eyelids shut as sleep closed in on her like some dark predator. however unsurprisingly it was short lived as her eyelids fluttered restlessly as dark dreams plagued her mind until hazel orbs became visible with the rescue of conciousness. her sides heaved as she panted, shaking her head roughly from side to side as her heart beat slowly began to settle. this routine was by no means new to her and she'd grumble lowly- pawing at her face in frustration. how the hell was she supposed to be her sharpest self if her mind refused to let her body refuel itself?

she'd push herself up and back onto her haunches, dark nose lifting to taste the air. the sharp coldness that clung to it would suggest it was still night but she could not be certain. her eyes were still having a hard time trying to adjust to the gloom pressing in on her but she felt oddly safe blanketed in the shadows- so thick even the light creaminess of her pelt remained hidden unless you squinted really hard. so far her time in the lands of teekon had been rather uneventful, she'd yet to come across any wolves although this may be due to the harshness of the lands she'd come across. the lack of socialising was no problem to her in the slightest, solitude never bothered her in fact it was something she tended to seek.

she had just pushed herself to all fours and had began following the fresh air slowly with the intention of getting outside of the cave she'd come across and decided to use as a pit stop when a noise caused her to freeze, muscles tensing and ears pricking. It was the soft sound of paws hitting the hard surface and soon enough the scent of another drifted along the breeze as it unmistakably made its way towards her. She'd crouch slightly, ears pinning back as her lip curled in wary preparation. when the sound grew louder she'd let a low warning growl rumble from deep in her chest- trying to communicate that although she did not intend on attacking this wolf she would not hesitate to retaliate if it did anything to prove itself as a threat. she'd wait then in an uneasy silence, dark eyes narrowed as she watched for anything to stand out in the wall of darkness before her.
