He left.

Slowly, the defensive curl of her body unfurled, and her hackles lowered upon her spine.  When Siarut was long gone she would cry softly, the realization of what she had done settling in.

But all she could think was that he deserved it.  He had meant to hurt her, and it wasn't right for him to try to pick up the pieces after.  He deserved it, and so had Nashoba, and so would whoever came after Siarut — for she knew there would be a next victim.

When she remembered how his blood felt as it ran down her throat, she'd expel the contents of her stomach and stare blankly at the bright red that came up with it.

It was time to go home.
