He shrunk back at her reply, hunching his shoulders boyishly and avoiding her gaze. Lyra sighed before leaning forwards and swiping her tongue over his forehead once more, a soft, gentle growl escaping her throat. "Do not apologise, Osiris," she said, tone stern but tinged with warmth. She hated to see anyone in her family so down on themselves, let alone those she helped raise. "Relying on others when you are injured is what family is for. Besides, you will never be a waste of space; I'm sure Dirge, and your mother and I would not allow that."

A wink followed, before Lyra padded forward, motioning for him to follow. "Come, if you're feeling up to it, perhaps we can track down some food," she offered, hoping an easy hunting task would help take his mind of feeling like a burden.
