Saena had nothing more to say, except, "I think you'll be great." She couldn't offer him advice, really, having never been an Alpha herself. Her aspirations were lower, for now, than what was required of an Alpha, and she was many moons off from ever coveting the top dog position.

She wondered if Dante coveted the position once, and whether he felt right in it. She guessed he hadn't; Dante didn't seem the type to yearn for a position of power, but maybe in some other way he'd wanted it. Wasn't it what all wolves eventually wanted?
