Spring jumped up startled, vision black for a second then slowly began to return.  She sighed realizing that it had only been a dream.  She shivered remembering it, but closed that thought off for now.  Not wanting to think of all the horrible things that had been involved.  Parts of the dream were memories though, memories of her past she wanted to burry forever.  She shook her head clearing her thoughts then padded forward through the dense forest she had enter the previous day.  But now everything seemed threatening and cruel as if it were going to suffocate her.  As trees loomed above her creating dense shadows.  And then underbrush squeezed her pelt, brambles snagging it.  She continued on.

About one hour passed, before the trees opened up and Spring escaped their lurking shadows.  She trotted out quickly.  Then stopped.  She scented a pack.  She scented the air again.  Yes... their was a pack here.  She shuffled her paws nervously, but stayed at the edge of the border.  Unsure of what to do.  She waited, sat.  Debating in her mind.

The scent of bull elk caught Springs attention and she momentarily forgot all about borders.  She turned away from the border nose to the ground, quickly finding the bull she stealthily crept towards it.  Silent.  Spring moved in closer, when she heard a snap beneath her paws.  She looked down startled, noticing she had stepped on a twig and snapped it in half.  When Spring looked back up the bull elk was fleeing.  She chased after it, having not eatten in about five days.  Then she crossed the border unknowingly.  As she crossed the border line of Silvertip Mountain pursuing the bull elk.

Hi there! Mind if i jump in?

Krypton was sent on night patrols for tonight, the air was bitting at her soft fur. She didn't mind though, it gave her a chance to roam around freely (with respect to checking the edges of the territory). She hadn't seen very much tonight, few animals scurrying around, barely any made noises tonight. It was peaceful.

However, her peace was cut short when she could hear something running. Instinctively, the women let her fur rise to the highest points, her tail lifted into the air, along with her head rising upon her neck as her ears perked forward. She wasn't on the outer edges of the pack land. If she heard a noise, that meant something came through the border.

Intruders? No on her watch! Quickly, the female picked up a fast run towards the noises, hearing paws and hooves collide with the ground, not just her own. This was bad, if this wolf (or wolves) make it through her, she would be dead at the mercy of the alpha's. Her paws made a lot of noise, she meant to do so. She would let her loudness become a bluff, along with her sheer size.

She let a snarl grace her features, she wasn't pleased with intruders in her land and in her family's land. She wouldn't let them get far, she kicked her run into overdrive and thundered towards the noises. The only reason a wolf would be dumb enough to cross the borders uninvited is to hunt in desperation or have a death wish. Whatever the reason was, it wasn't very smart. Even if hunger was strong, it could be tamed later rather than dying.

Spring stopped suddenly, at the sound of paw steps.  She perked her ears noticing whatever it was, was heading in her direction.  The bull elk was far away now and forgotten.  She scented the air to try to pick up the scent of what was after her. And she assumed it was wolf scent.  Then Spring froze at another realization.  She had crossed the boundary.  Startled Spring stood frozen still.  Knowing running would only worsen her case and make things more complicated than they needed to be.

Spring whimpered, then tucked her tail, ears flat against her head.  Lowering herself into a submissive position, she waited.  Silently.  Waiting for whoever this pack wolf was to find her.  Being submissive would hopefully save her from death or an attack.  Hopefully...

Lunging forward with power from each step, the woman's strides engulfed the ground underneath her. The sound of hooves and paws colliding had stopped, the chase must've ended. However, Krypton's hunt was yet to be over. Her heart pounded, her breaths deep in her chest, her eyes were wide trying to decipher what was around her in the dark.

The scent hit her as if she had ran into a tree. A new scent, a different scent, the scent of an intruder. She felt her fur rise more, her tail picking itself up as she ran until her eyes became locked on her target. Blood pumping in and out, her thundering paws began to slow from her sprint to a soft gallop.

She let her ears stay pricked forward as her glowing eyes pierced the unknown wolfess' body. Reaching a few feet away from the unknown woman, Krypton broke to a trot and finally halted in her place. The woman was in a submissive position. That pleased Krypton, this new wolf knew she wasn't going to win in a fight and she knew she had crossed a border.

"You. Who are you?" Krypton asked with a loud monotone that broke through the chilling wind. Her eyes stayed fixed onto the female, she couldn't see her face quite yet. "You have trespassed onto Silvertip Territory." She let the last phrase fall out of her mouth with a grimace of a snarl gracing her features, her tail raised and flicking with annoyance. Her ears became flattened and awaited the loner's response.

Zaria rushed forward when she heard the pounding gallop of Krypton. She wondered if the female was hunting and wanted to give her some more advise on that, but that was when the very territorial female smelled a strange wolf on their lands. Instantly Zaria's green eyes were looking murderous. Even now she wasn't quiet while running. The slender little thing rushed past the fir trees towards the couple. Zaria didn't doubt for a moment that Krypton was part of this. She trusted her ever since they worked on poisons together.

Zaria let out a snarl, seeing the submissive stance of the female on the ground but that didn't stop the aggressive warrior. She was protecting her lands, and since Zaria was probably going into heat soon she showed a lot more aggression especially towards females. Zaria probably needed the reasoning mind of @FitzDutiful to calm her down. Zaria charged at the female, teeth bared, hackles raised and tail up. She tried to bite or at least snap her teeth at the female. She wanted this female out. Zaria didn't know that she was seeking refuge in their pack but if she wasn't to talk about that it was going to happen behind their borders. Zaria had no time bother to greet Krypton. "Loners are not welcome on our grounds," she hissed to the trespasser ready to give a good injury if she wasn't going to flee right now. "Krypton we don't talk to trespassers we chase them out, and if they are not fast enough we kill," she snapped at her.

Sorry Zaria is very territorial she doesn't respond well to trespassers. If Spring will go behind the borders she might be to reason with. :)

FitzDutiful heard the snarl of his mate and became alert. He wasn't about to let anything happen to her so without a second thought he dropped the rabbit he had been ingesting and headed off at full pelt. When he arrived, just moments before Zaria charged, and saw the female wolf in their lands he kept up his speed. He slowed to a jog then a walk, snarling and hissing at the female who had violated their lands. He would go for the kill but that was Zaria's job, his was just to guard, protect and defend their lands.

He was taking his new role seriously, as guardian, and nothing would stop him now. If the female didn't get back behind the borders then she would soon have FitzDutiful attacking her along with Zaria. For now, he waited - waited to herd the female to the borders. That wasn't where he would stop, though, he would ensure she ran far away from Silvertip lands. The thought of her joining their pack didn't occur to him once.

Spring stand in her submissive position, but spoke.  ”I mean no harm.”  She whimpered quietly.  “I did not mean to trespass.” She stood up a little, but still in a submissive position.  “I can head back to the border if that is what you want.”  She finished.  Feeling pretty feather-brained.  How could she have a mistake like this?  Spring thought unhappily to herself.  Feeling her pelt twitch with nervousness.  She glanced at the wolves around her.  “Please.”  She whimpered.  “I am not a threat to you.”  She tucked her tail between her legs as far as it would go, then waited for a reply.  Feeling nervousness and anxiety gnaw at her innards.  She took another step towards the border.

The tawny woman was about to let out a reply to the lone, but she was soon joined by her alphas. She decided to stay quiet, letting her fur stay high but her tail lowered since she was in the presence of her superiors. She was surprised when Zaria leaped towards the loner in attack. Not really landing onto her in a full mode, but enough to prove a statement that she was not a wolf to be reckoned with.

Krypton was a bit worried. Maybe this wolf was a recruit and needed a pack? That didn't matter, she would not attack until the other lone attacked, Krypton was a pacifist when it came to arguments and trespassers. Unless her family is hurt, she would remain on guard until provoked. When Zaria snapped at the lone and Krypton, the woman nodded her head, whispering an apology to her alpha.

She was quickly brought back to focus and spoke no words and heard the lone's responce. Krypton said nothing, for it was not her turn nor right to speak yet. Her choice would not matter either, her alphas would decide.

Zaria bared her teeth and launched herself for another attack at the female. Seeing that she was just babbling about and not even respectfully walking back to the borders hit a nerve with Zaria. What did this loner think she was doing? Just acting like a hurt submissive little thing? Zaria wasn't falling for it. She let out another snarl, now locating her bites towards her feet to get it very clear to the female they needed to keep moving. Zaria's tail was stiffly pointed up. Krypton was smart to keep herself quiet because otherwise Zaria's rage might have been let out on her. "Shut up," she snapped at the female. "If you don't leave our grounds now I will rip your throat out!"

The only thing that stole Zaria's attention was that her mate Fitz was right there by her to support her. She battered him a wicked glaze, giving the loner another chance to escape severe wounds. If she was smart she would run now to avoid severe wounds instead of Zaria's currently mild attacks. Briefly she thought why she was so mild in the first place she should kill this female for thinking that their lands were accessible for her use. Zaria made a mental note not to have Krypton go for warrior since the female wasn't even showing any interest in attacking.

There were two interesting things running through FitzDutiful's mind. One was that the lone wolf in front of them hadn't left the pack lands, despite the warning and the second was that Krypton had not intercepted and joined in fending them off. No, the female in front of them wasn't a threat but that didn't mean she was allowed to walk into their home unannounced. If they let every lone wolf wander over their lands they would have all their food eaten and their young killed - it wasn't something to be forgiven.

Zaria threatened the female and FitzDutiful let her lead the chase; if she attacked, FitzDutiful would do the same. After her words he offered a one word sentence to the stranger; "Leave." It was accompanied by a snarl, a vicious no-nonsense snarl. FitzDutiful also threw a not-so-happy glance at Krypton. First deal with the stranger, then deal with their own. He didn't expect everyone to be a fighter, but he wanted them to protect their lands.

As for the stranger, maybe once they were behind the borders FitzDutiful would consider listening to what they had to say - maybe then he would consider letting them join the pack.

Spring nodded, saying no more.  Then sprinted away.  Leaving Silvertip Mountian, quick as a flash.  Wondering if they were checking if she truly had left.  She had.  She then began to search for Laika, nose to the ground.  Her friend from her previous pack, that was know long gone.  Staying away from Silvertip Mountians border lines of its wolves.

Seeing Zaria once more leap into attack, Krypton wished to stay back and let her alpha cover it. Although she was a pacifist, even if she did wish to fight, she wouldn't be very helpful.. She felt ashamed that she didn't stay a value.

FitzDutiful told the lone to leave, and she gladly took off. Krypton watched as the lone ran off, her ears pricked at the footfalls. Instinctively, the woman walked forward then cast them a look of embarrassment.

"My apologies for not protecting you two. I will make sure she leaves the territory." She said loudly towards them, bowing her head and dashing off the pursue the female before having to return to the den.

Zaria was displeased with how things happened. She attacked the female and she didn't even seem to get hurt from it? Was she that bad at offense? No she was great at it! Damn that loner female. When Krypton apologized and told her that she would chase after the loner to make sure she was out of their territory Zaria accepted that. She had done her offense part. Zaria instantly turned to Fitz and quirked up her lips. She was very charmed by Fitz after he gave her the bison skin to stay warm.

She moved towards him and gave a kiss on his muzzle. "You are really sexy when you defend your lands like that," she hummed with a hint of a sly grin. When she joined Fitz seemed different than who he was now. Zaria liked to think that was because of her, because she had become a bit nicer because of him. "What will we do with Krypton? I think it is best you will talk to her," she stated. She was showing to be a loyal member but seeing that she was talking to a trespasser was a bit of a no-go. And Zaria was feeling quite... agitated still.

The lone wolf ran off and FitzDutiful was about to take chase when Krypton announced she would see them off. He thought about going after her, to inform her for how things should be when he noted Zaria wasn't making a move too. She wouldn't, being an offensive primarily, but he felt the urge too. Still he stayed as Zaria began to talk, noting her sly grin with a loving smile of his own. He nodded as she moved the conversation onto to what had just occurrred, "I planned to right now, but I guess I'll let her guard the perimeter before talking to her. Do you know much about her past?"

He remember a time when Zaria hadn't really known the benefits of static borders, maybe Krypton came from a similar stance, as they spoke he moved to walk around the rest of their borders at this side. He wanted to be sure they were still strong and make sure the lone wolf had just been idiotic and opposed to an error on their behalf.

Zaria let out a soft snort when her mate didn't even reacted to her compliment, only a bit of a smile. Alas, the topic moved to Krypton, yes, she did know, after all she had to wait with Krypton and they talked. "She was too shy to join a pack," she pointed out on a tone 'well-that-says-enough-doesn't-it'. Zaria looked at where the female vanished, seeing that she went after the loner was quite brave seeing that other perspective.

Time to fade! Feel free to reply before archiving :D

FitzDutiful let Zaria's comment slide by with just a huff. He wasn't entirely sure why his mate had accepted the female, she must have shown something worthwhile for Zaria was even pickier than he. It was a good combination for the two of them allowed for a variety of wolves, both valuing something different in their members and hopefully bringing them to the best they could be.

"Come now," he said, enticing her to a shaded cave with a knowing glance. "I want some more puppy-making practice before the time comes." His voice took on a husky tone as his body readied himself, he pre-emptively headed to the warmer spot hoping she would join him. If not, he'd wait out his enthusiasm for the sport before continuing with a patrol.

Yes! :D

Zaria looked at her mate with a grin as Fitz would talk to Krypton later. First he wanted to spend time with her and Zaria was more than pleased that he would. She was way more important than Krypton of course. "I turned you in a pup making manic,' she teased him, but truly she really didn't mind. Zaria jumped towards him playfully, really showing only that nature when they were alone together.

In this moment even Zaria gladly followed him. It couldn't be long until her nice scent would come right? Yet Zaria didn't truly grasp the concept that the 'nice scent' would make her a mother. Sure she knew it would result in pups but the realization that she would be a mother herself hadn't settled into her mind yet.
