Panther Park: A vast coniferous forest hugging the space between Greatwater Lake and the northern mountains. This wood is thick and wild, providing home for many a creature and the predators who prey upon them. This forest is most notably a hunting grounds for lone mountain lions who crawl down from the nearby ranges to seek an easy kill. They’re particularly feral in these parts as they’re competing with other hunters and are very determined to claim this area for themselves.

A mortally wounded mountain lion is clinging to his last breath after a fight with a rival male. He's still alive enough to fight back, but he won't last long. The real question is: will the wolves wait for him to die, or risk getting injured to get to the meal first?

After her succes on catching a fish, Malice was thrilled to try it again. She took her pregnant body away from what was left of Phantom Hollow to make her way to the lake where she and Burke had some lovely memories. Just as she was about to get into the water to try her luck today, the scarred female heard and smelled something she had never scented before. It smelled foreign, dangerous, yet non-wolf. She raised an eyebrow and crossed the lake. Was it prey? Had her prayers been answered?

The excitement only grew when she smelled the fresh scent of blood. She smirked deviously. Something was wounded. She wandered further than she had ever done before, desperate for something in her stomach to feed her children with. Just between the mountains she had once roamed when Cog was still in charge and the lake where she got blessed, there was a forest that hadn't caught her eye before. The cries of pain from an unknown animal came from there, she could hear, and she tossed her head into the air to call her wolves.

She let out a loud howl, one that maybe could be heard in Blackfeather Woods also, and waited for her pack to arrive to check this out.

She was starving. While there had never been an overabundance of prey in Blackfeather due to their uninviting looks and unhabitable corners, this was something else. She needed food. They needed food, before some resorted to other measures. But she could survive. It was Kendra she worried about. Pietros death had affected everyone but Kendra.. she was gone. She was monotone and unapproachable like her soul was ripped apart. She looked like she was dead, and if no food reached her stomach, that would become a reality.

When the the scent of blood reached her nose, she could not resist. She despised the feline species with a burning passion, every single one of them. They had one less pup because of one. She stalked its path, nearing the bloodied mess to hear it's heavy breaths. It was struggling to survive, to her pleasure. She did not care that by attacking it, she risked everything. Her pack needed food.. her family needed food. Nothing would stop her wrath, and nothing would stop her from dragging the cat back to Blackfeather.

She lightly circled the cat, noting is various gaping injuries to her advantage. Wasting no times, she struck at its hind, ripping at its flesh, claiming it as hers before jumping away. She would need to be careful. The cat still had power and she was no idiot. She howled for the pack, knowing that for the Brotherhood, this was an easy kill.

Rhiannon had been at the lake edge on her pack's side her tongue lapping up the cool liquid. She had been looking for food having spent most of the morning chasing birds and getting frustrated with the lack of cover for her white fur. Ears perked up she lifted her head smelling the air, a growl escaping her lips as she moved away from the lake. Something seemed amiss and her Alpha's call only proved as such, had Malice found something for the pack?

The female turned her body to the right of her where the call came from and lifted her head returning the call before padding in the direction. The closer the female got to her Alpha the stronger the smell of blood became causing her to lift her head testing the air. It wasn't Malice that much she was certain, so what was this scent? It smelled familiar to her homeland but also very different, lowering her head she spotted the black female and approached her flank,"You smell the blood as well then? Do you want to go ahead and try to take whatever it is down? Or wait for the others? If the animal is large and wounded it may be weak enough for just us to take it down."

Pallas heard the howl, and curiously obliged it. At a steady trot she crested the rise until she came upon a small gathering, all of whom were ultimately unfamiliar save Malice and the dark-haired female that had intercepted her and Zephyr at the swamp's summit. Haughtily Pallas' hackles rose and she wasted no time aligning herself near the Moonlit wolves, though none knew her besides the pregnant alpha.

Pallas felt her hackles raise as she watched Nemesis, and stiffly she stalked towards both the Blackfeather wolf and the panther, her hackles raised in large rifts on her back and haunch. She was hungry, hungrier than she had ever been and her life, and was not about to let her inaction be the loss of a meal. Assertively she strode towards the panther, though kept out of his striking range. She would wait until a wolf stupidly attacked it and was killed, or she would wait for the panther to die: either way, Pallas would eat tonight.

Desperate times called for desperate measures, and for Mitanni that meant further missions outside of the Phantom Hollow to hunt and scout out sources of food. She was out now, once more beginning to follow the river that ran through the Hollow southward to see if she might try her hand at fishing again, but she didn't get far before the sound of her leader's voice stopped her progress and made her pause.

Her pause was only momentary. Given the situation across the Teekon Wilds, the pack needed to stick together now more than ever. If her alpha needed her to be there, then she needed to be there. Now.

Wasting no further time, the lithe little brown wolf turned and followed the river north, backtracking and breaking off in the direction of the lake that separated their territory from their neighbors. As she traveled, she picked up Malice's pregnant scent as well as that of one of their newer recruits, the one who stuck around the healer's den now, keeping it tidy and stocked. When they finally came into view, however, it was not their scents that captured her attention, but another, and it made her stomach ache hungrily.

She licked her lips as she followed at a distance, Malice and Rhiannon moving ahead, and perked her ears when she heard another voice cry out, a beckoning for their neighbors. Spurred by the call, Mitanni skipped into a faster stride, but still arrived after the others, realizing there were four wolves present instead of the anticipated three. She sidled and slunk close to both Rhiannon and Malice but said nothing, only eyed both strangers and cast searching glances at her leader in the hopes of gaining some direction to follow.

he moped these days about the disappearance of byll, and thought often of going to find her, but he knew malice needed him, especially with all the fuckin' bugs around and her belly about to pop any day now. so he was close when the dark queen called for aid.

there were many moonlit wolves when he arrived; he shouldered his way to stand alongside malice, wrinking his muzzle in disgust at the wounded creature that lay before them. "pathetic," he spat, but padded out of the half-circle toward the cat, which pinned him with a harsh yellow gaze and snarled.

there was a female there, one not of them, and buffalo turned his eyes away from the potential kill to bristle. he wouldn't attack without malice's order but she had no business being there.

Permission for pp on Rhiannon is granted, but still, feel free to tell me if you're not happy with it and I will change it!

We better go now, before someone else can lay their claim upon this suffering animal. I'm sure the rest can find us later. She answered Rhiannon, already starting to walk toward the sound of battle. The faint smell of a cat-like creature, blood, Blackfeather Woods and strangers hung in the air, making her feel a little sick. But with Rhiannon by her side and the hunger that drove her further, she ignored it. She could've sworn she had been the first present here, the first one to smell the blood and hear the cries of the dying cat. It was the moonlit wolves their right to claim this animal. But she had to admit though, no one was breaking the rule of hunting on your own side. This spot seemed to be almost exactly in the middle, making it all the more possible the moonlit wolves had to fight for their fair share of meat.

Then, everything came into sight. Rhiannon and Malice watched Nemesis take on the big creature by herself from a distance and not long after came a rather familiar wolf to join the party. Malice remembered her of when she came to her borders, even remembered her name, Pallas if she wasn't mistaken. She looked angry, but it seemed it wasn't directed at the moonlit wolves and rather at Nemesis. Everything seemed to go so fast, as Malice hadn't even noticed the two of her own until she heard the voice of Buffalo. She removed her gaze from the cat, it's attacker and the girl she faintly remembered, to smile at the ones who had come to join her, but this was no time for happy hellos.

The moonlit wolves clearly had the upper hand for now, since the Dark Brotherhood was only with 1 so far. She knew that Burke's followers needed food as well, but Moonlit Hills was with more, she had scented. Besides, Burke was a skilled fisher, why not take the whole lot of them for a lesson on fishing? Malice had only been lucky that one time she caught a fish, and didn't know of any in her pack that had knowledge on hunting in the waters.

She watched Buffalo as he left their side of the scene to, maybe, inspect the potential meal from up close. She watched him as he was now focused on Nemesis, and if she could read minds, she understood his thought process. She thought that Nemesis needed this food less than the moonlit wolves, and thought she indeed had no business here. Just like Pallas really. She was a lone wolf, getting between 1 pack member and 4 pack members of another pack. She didn't need this food, as hungry as she might be, as much as Moonlit Hills needed it. Besides, if she had followed Malice's instructions and had went South to meet Sebastian, there was a high chance she wouldn't be here right now.

The daughter of Lucifer's hackles raised as she took a few steps forward, out of the cat's range, with a raised tail and a determined face. Stand back. She said, calm despite the circumstances. This would be her only warning. Moonhip had the upper hand here, and she would not back down. Not even for Nemesis.

he hadnt't even seen pallas yet -- hypocritically, he wouldn't have minded her presence as much as that of the brotherhood wolfess. malice advanced and buffalo came to her side -- his eyes fixed on the strange woman and his teeth bared, though he was leashed by the queen's word.

this food was for her and her unborn cubs, after all -- but buffalo was itching for a fight, and hoped that the girl from the opposing pack would pop off at the mouth or try to attack so he could drag her ass all over the surrounding countryside.

Pallas had taken to watching Nemesis with the most intense of expressions, the loathing in her gaze perhaps fueled by their last interaction. Pallas had not forgotten that slight, nor had her wounds fully healed from that ordeal, and there was a good bit of the white female that was embittered by the encounter. As Malice and Buffalo made a move for the cat Pallas swung wide, her attention wholly on the Brotherhood wolf. Pallas hoped, perhaps somewhat barbarically, that Nemesis would refuse to leave: it was clear the Moonlit wolves would not share the cat with Pallas, but if Nemesis died, they'd be okay with Pallas eating her, right?

Ooc: So sorry for the delay, my wifi was down :(

Silver had arrived late to the party, and she was disappointed in herself for doing so. She had overslept, for her head was too deep within her den.

The howl of Malice went over her head, but upon hearing the sound of paws and growls from far away, she quickly made her way over.

What she had come to see was her pack against a wounded feline. Nemesis was already there, along with a wolf she hadn't seen before.

She came running in to see the faces of family, shooting Malice an apologizing look before taking notice to the animal. The queen was already heading forward, and Silver had to think of what to do.

Seeing that one was heading with Malice, Silver began to go around to encircle, staying away from the nemesis.

she wanted to kill the cat, take the meat for her damily, savor the blood she would drink.

with that intention in mind, Silver leapt forward to snap near the tail and haunches of the cat. She felt the need to distract it so that the two in front could land the kill.

her eyes shot to the two, telling them 'kill it now!' She could feel the flesh year as fur began to tip. She gouged her ivories into the flank, then tried to jump off. However, the cat was quick to turn and face Silver.

She would escape with her life, but the cat would claim a side of her face with its brazen claws.
