Shifting her weight between both front paws, Banner couldn't help but feel terribly out of place for this intimate scene.  She hadn't been close to Octavia and didn't have the same sort of relationship with Tambourine that her brother had.  So silent and (relatively) still she would remain.  The pain in Stark's voice caused her ears to slick back against her skull and her dark brown shoulders to slump just a bit.  She didn't dare interrupt him while he was offering up a brief explaination.

For his part, Tambourine didn't seem as upset as she'd imagined.  He was more curious.  Pragmatic, even.  Blinking back her surprise, Banner nodded.  She was ill.  Her words were delivered simply, though she made the effort to not sound condescending.  He deserved the truth and that was about as far as she knew.  In her mind specifics weren't important, though perhaps the boy thought differently.  Again, she looked to Stark to see if he had any important details to add.
and i'm a loser in love
so baby raise a glass
to mend all the broken hearts
of all my wrecked-up friends
