All Welcome
Feel free to jump in and be the packmate. He's waiting for @Indra and/or @Saena to pass by, but anyone and everyone would be great!
Finally, Dagfinn had gathered enough dry, crackly leaves to make a decent pile out of them. It was almost as tall as him, which meant it was even taller than Indra and probably the same height as Saena, and that should be good enough for a good romp - especially since it was twice as wide as it was high. Dag paced studiously around the outside of the pile, shoring it up where he felt it was needed, flicking leaves and other debris up the pile with his paws when he could and with his nose when he couldn't.

Accordingly, he was sneezing an awful lot. The musty, dusty leaves were wreaking havoc on his sinuses after gathering and piling them for so long, but it would be worth it if Saena and Indra liked his leaf pile as much as he did.

It would not, however, be worth it if his nosy packmate ran through and ruined the pile before the girls got a chance to see it. "Hey!" Dagfinn snapped, surging around the pile to stand between it and the curious packmate. "It's for mo - it's for Saena! You can't touch it until she's had a chance to jump in it!"

Zephyr had been watching Dagfinn from an easy distance, sprawled lazily across the earth and sunning in the cool winter air to keep warm -- eventually, though, he got too bored to keep sitting around, and the brute stood just as Dag finished. Trotting forward, he approached the younger wolf with a yip of playfulness, closing some distance before breaking into a canter.

He wasn't recieved with the rough play the Maverick expected from Dagfinn, and instead the dark boy snapped at him in a warning, which prompted a frown from Zephyr as he skidded to a halt. Ears fanning back, his previously wagging tail had stilled behind him, and in another attempt at play, he stompted a snowy paw.

"Best be fightin' me then, Dag!"

Instead of leaping for the pile as he wanted to, Zephyr turned and sprung with a high-pitched bark of excitement at Dagfinn, fully aware of the leaves to his side that he intended not to touch.

Mom to the rescue! Lmao

From a short distance, Saena trailed along behind Zephyr. She hadn't spent much time with the wolf since their walk around the edge of the vale, and she was keen on getting to know him a little better. The pack was chock full of men at this point, and a playful and jealous Saena found she preferred that, but it meant there was an awful lot of testosterone and manliness going around. She was determined to learn one from the other until she knew them all as intimately as their mothers knew them, perhaps to single them out from their status as males.

Well, maybe not that intimately, but we all know better.

On the horizon, she noticed, was a bit of a hill she'd never seen before. Zephyr was headed right toward it, and Saena picked up her pace as well. Only, Zephyr stopped before reaching it, and doggedly, Saena stopped as well to inspect it from afar. From here, she couldn't tell it was made up of leaves, but she could tell there was something kind of weird about it. Especially weird, she thought, when Dagfinn (unmistakable from the white patch on his chest) darted out to seemingly... defend it?

She watched the boys for a moment as they looked to engage in play, but all of a sudden, Zephyr changed his mind and drifted away. The first female thought to continue following him for a while, but she felt a little sorry for how abruptly he'd left Dagfinn, so she headed toward the yearling instead. "Hey," she called out, and as she got nearer, she could finally tell that the hill was, in fact, a giant pile of leaves. "Uh... what is that?"

Dag feinted back gamely when it was clear that Zephyr would leave the leaf pile alone, but it seemed the male was not interested in sticking around if he would not soon be allowed to romp in the pile. That was fine; he couldn't let himself get distracted. It was good that he'd left when he had, because Saena soon made an appearance, seeming... well, not too impressed with his leaf pile, but he wasn't going to let that discourage him just yet.

"It's a pile of leaves," he said, refusing to feel silly about it. She just didn't see how awesome it was yet. "You jump in them, and it's fun," he added, hoping to clue her in.
