He glanced back once to check if Rannoch was following, though whether he actually was or not the boy didn't really care. He figured that, being the Alpha, the man would want to know where each and every food cache was but he quickly found out this wasn't the case. Without his meaning to, a smile slid across his face, grateful for the respect to his privacy. Sol never allowed anything of the sort.

He gave a cheerful grunt and nod towards Rannoch in reply before darting into the woods, his dark form disappearing quickly amongst the trees. He was quick to find a spot to stash the bone; a loamy patch of dirt at the base of a grand oak surrounded by low lying plants. He then cocked a leg to mark it as his own before trotting back out to the Alpha, a proud grin scrawled across his features as if to say now they'll never find it!

Although he didn't show it, he was thankful that Rannoch let him bury it without intrusion. It gave him at least a little peace of mind.
