Bobby was pleased to see the other male submit and stop, just like he'd asked. Maybe Bobby could be an ok guardian, even though it wasn't what he wanted to do. He thought everyone could speak English and Trigedasleng. Maybe it was just this guy who forgot it. The guy apologized for something, and finally Bobby broke his "very convincing" tough guardian facade.

The grey male introduced himself as Eljay, and Bobby nodded. What you doing out here? Drageda is that way. Bobby asked, assuming that Eljay was from Drageda too and he just hadn't met him yet.
