All Welcome
Jude knew she had to find a place to stay soon, if she was going to prosper during winter. She had come to find this place, full of wolf packs it seemed. She had plenty options for when she chose to settle down, but until then her exploration would continue. Today she was trekking over a mountain range, a barren one with spires jagged like bone. The wind tugged at her copper toned coat, chilling her muscles and making them tense. She would have to stop soon anyway, for the sun was falling quickly and giving way to a orange and purple sky.

The young warrior found a decent spot near the base of one of the mountains and made it her temporary home, the sun had completely left the sky and the mood and stars took its place. Her icy blue eyes seemed to glow in this light, as she sat down to rest. The sky was beautiful tonight, stars lit up the sky like carnival lights. The moon was out white, with a indigo hue shaping its edges. Jude watched it happily, her tail swaying contently.

Ocra tries to keep her exploration during the day when the sun hangs high, giving a little more warmth than the night offered. Her pelt isn’t made for the colder winters, having traveled from the south initially. She’d suffered through one really cold one and perhaps her body got the memo and her fur does seem thicker this time around. It isn’t enough, she knows that, and she shivers as she moves around the base of one mountain to the next, trying to find somewhere to settle for the night so she can start over again.

She doesn’t know where she’s going or what she’s going to accomplish, but that doesn’t stop her. The last place never felt like home and without Sriracha, as short-lived their romance had been, she’d felt differently with him. If he doesn’t come back here, a place he knows they are both familiar with, she doubts shell ever see him again and she should move on.

After a few moments when her mind is actually quite, she’s thrown back to reality when she sees the dark silhouette of another wolf. Ocra stops in her tracks, watching her for a moment in the distance, as she hesitates going any further. Currently, she has the chance to turn and walk away and never have an interaction, but with one wolf out at night, seemingly by themselves, leaves her with more questions than her curious mind knows how to let go. From where she stands, she releases a chuff, so not to startle the other so closely. If someone approached her after dark, her reaction definitely isn’t to be friendly.

Ocra offers a few steps forward to close the distance as her intentions but she waits quietly before she’s invited any closer.

Thank you for joining!

Jude’s dark tipped tail stopped wagging as soon as she heard the chuff, the smile wiped from her face. Someone was watching her, in the dark. She leaped to her feet, turning to face the direction of the chuff with eyes narrowed. Her moonlit blue eyes fall on the silhouette of another wolf, and her scent fills in that the other is alone and female. Her muscles beginning to tense as the other steps closer, Jude lets out a growl to warn her no further. Her tail twitches anxiously, as she expects a fight. She sees no other reason to approach someone at the cusp of midnight.

The fuck do you want? She said, her voice low. Being a warrior, Jude was always suspicious. Being herself, she was always a little rude and eloquent.

You’re welcome but also sorry for the short thread. :P

Ocra doesn’t flinch when the other turns quickly, surprised to see her and surprised even further to engage. Nope. Not today, Satan. She stares across the distance for a long moment, deciding on what to do. She is greeted with hostility and she’s far enough that she isn’t forced to engage. After a few seconds, she snorts, and looks over her shoulder briefly, the way she’d come, which would the easy way to go but she isn’t interested in backtracking. She doubts she’ll find what she’s looking for anyway but she at least has to try. She only looks back to the stranger to make sure the distance between them has remained and she turns just slightly to her right and continues her trek through the mountain range.
