Engelhard sighed heavily, shaking a little as he did. He had accepted she was gone...yet also. he had not. Smokestep snorted at him, reminding him the law of the sea. It gave, and it took. And this time, it had taken a life, a close life to him. Taken a part of his heart with it. And there was something else...something else in the back on his mind he guessed that she would want him to say.
"She cared for you, Smoke...She told me so" he murmured quietly. He deserved to know, right? She was more than a pack mate to him. And to Smoke was no doubt a friend too.
