It was several slow blinks for him and one brief instance of almost nodding off before he felt the warmth of her weight against his back and shoulders. It woke him up just long enough to shift his forelimbs and get comfortable, and then he was nodding off again...

He was loathe to get up, since this spot and Nunataq at his back was comfortable, but he also wasn't super keen on her slobbery tongue in his ear. "Nooooo!" he protested, leaning as far away as possible from the wiry Apaata. Try as he might, he couldn't suppress the giggle that crept through his lips as he went on: "Ewww, Nu!"
