Heron Lake Plateau Just a wasted puzzle piece

She'd washed the blood off, but as she moved towards him, he performed a quick and subtle once-over all the same.  Either the blood hadn't been hers or the wound wasn't visible, which meant likely it wasn't too bad.

Her speech was a little hard to understand, but he picked up on it a few words in.  "Can't imagine anything else, seein as it was you two."  He figured not much could stop either of them once they were set on something.  "Put up a fight, though, huh?"

She was pressed close, and he began to idly groom some of the water off of her fur as he listened for hopefully more information on what happened.
