Private
this can be one round or more! private for: @Argent @Elentari @Glaukos @Whip (and @Chakliux if he's nearby)

For the fourth sunrise in a row, Sialuk awoke with her stomach in a twist, and there was no doubt in her mind. She had already shared her news with Kukutux and @Towhee, but now she wished to share with those who would be parents. Any sooner, and Sialuk would have worried that it was only her mind playing tricks upon her.

To her ulaq, she called to those she had coupled with. Argent and Elentari were unlikely to be far away, and she wondered what role Glaukos and Whip would wish for. If Chakliux could hear her, she called for him as well. Not only that, but she wondered if Elentari had noticed any symptoms of her own. Their time had come in tandem, and though Sialuk knew the changes were likely to be different between them, she was eager to find out if her lover was expecting, too.

He had been dutiful in whatever capacity he knew how. In most cases that meant keeping his distance in the daytime; Glaukos frequented the many patrol routes and would keep to himself, providing protection to the bustling village while he adjusted to his new life.
When a call rose from Sialuk's ulaq — for himself specifically, but then also others — he hiked his way across the mountain to seek her. By now, through his conversation with Alaric and through his own observations, Glaukos knew he was not the only one to share Sialuk's sleeping place.
As he came upon the ulaq he was his usual sullen, reserved self. He hung back to keep watch for the others, unsure of what he felt in that moment — or really why he had been summoned.

it was more difficult to keep from tullik than chakliux had realized. he kept his hunting inland, returning to moontide each evening.
but this day was one of luck; the seal hunter had been at the edge of the place where the moonstones had fallen.
he would arrive late, windswept, but eyes bright in delight as he searched for sialuk's eye, any change in her form that might announce children. why she had called the others he did not know, but thought it perhaps a way of the sunshine people. therefore he was tall, warm, silent.

They had a strange way about them Whip thought, but he was in no position to object. These circumstances were favorable.

While so often reluctant to lay down roots, Whip settled on this mountain well enough. Adjustments would have to be made -- simple course corrections of thought and behavior to better preserve the peace. He could do that, and he would see that the effort of turning the individual into a piece of a larger whole would not be in vain.

Or, it would all fall apart -- who could really tell?

When summoned, Whip answered. Others would come to gather, all called by name. One had already arrived to Sialuk's ulaq. So this was one of the others she called to her bed. Whip's appraising gaze rested on him briefly. Sullen eyes were like a mirror reflecting back at him. Perhaps Sialuk had a type. Sad boy squad, assemble.

He offered a soft chuff, simple greetings, before turning his attention to Sialuk.

The dark Archer was swift to respond to the summons of her lover. Her other half, Argent, she knew would not be far behind. Ever since bedding with both a man and a woman, an exciting change stirred within her being. Elation. A sense of riding high on clouds. There was still yet time until she knew for sure if her body truly buzzed with something new.

Held in her jaws was a freshly skinned, fully intact beaver. She had been about to strip away the meat, to dry in the sun to enhance it's flavor. But that could wait. Perhaps the others gathered might appreciate a cut of the meat or even the chewy, fatty tail.

She arrived with stormy eyes blinking in surprise. Landing first on the steely Glaukos and then Whip. New faces she was seeing for the first time. Chakliux did not go ignored either. A soft, sweet rumble for the three of them in greeting while she stood with Sialuk, depositing her gift nearby.

Not far indeed—the silver guardian was only away from the side of either woman when he scoped the borders of the land, though even more curiously, an innate desire to hunt more began to stir in him—perhaps fed from the subtle changes in both Elentari and Sialuk that drove such… a need to provide.

Today, though, it was Elentari with the perfect gift for the raindrop. The others gathered were witnessed by the man and he offered a greeting to each in a quiet rumble, though to Sialuk he presented a rumbling murmur and a kiss to her cheek. Before settling to the other side of Elentari, the man would brush his shoulder lightly against her in quiet regard—though conversation did not arise as he awaited to see the purpose of their gathering.

thank you for your patience during this very busy month!!

Glaukos hung back. The twinkle in Chakliux's eye was ever-present. Whip appeared befuddled by the call. Elentari and Argent last, the closest of her lovers, and likely carrying children of her own. The kiss from the latter was welcomed, and the hefty gift from the former was returned with a kiss from the raindrop.

Each arrived in silence, and Sialuk looked to each of them. She had chosen a fine bunch, she thought. There is no need for worry, she said with a gentle laugh. Each of you will have a place in my children's lives. It is a village that raises a child, not only a mother and father. Each of you means much to me, and I wish for you all to mean something to the children that I bring into this world.

the silver man who kissed sialuk was given a level stare, and then his lover's announcement tore his eyes back to her.
he let out a great shouting cry of exultation; and offered a fine laugh and a roll of his scarred shoulders. "let me take them to the sea ice, when they are ready. i will also show them the ways of a seal hunter."
in this, they would always be bound by two bloods and two villages.
