Keeping Signe fed as well as keeping himself fed was proving to be a task. He knew he could not allow the inky pup to starve. He had opted to take her home with him because he believed he could provide for her, though he had already been forced to seek assistance from Caiaphas in Ankyra Sound. She was still only a child and could not tend to herself. The ghostly male was the only thing that kept her afloat. Whether he wanted to admit it or not, he had grown somewhat fond of the dark child. She did well in his environment. When she aged, he believed she would be very much like Moz.
A howl struck the male’s ears – nearby – and he cast his gaze in the direction of the beckoning creature. The thought of a hunt was tantalizing enough for the brute. Setting off at a brisk trot, his pace turned quickly to a lope in pursuit of the howl’s owner. When he neared the dark fur of a stranger, Kierkegaard lowered his head formally and flicked his ears back.
He was a creature of few words, and so after he had given the appropriate respects to the Beta male, the ghost turned to their target with fiery eyes. The buck was injured and frightened; it seemed as though he would not have much wind left in him to flee. The two wolves would be more than capable of bringing the creature down. Kierkegaard was a massive brute, and the sooty Beta was something of a lumbering beast himself. Flicking the tip of his tail, the Demonte-Sairensu male waited for the next move.
