@Célness

Common, keep up! he called behind him. Toshi and his hunting buddy followed the twists and turns of the stream. Those geese had to be somewhere. They couldn’t have traveled so far so quickly!

Toshi stopped and turned to the woman. Can you smell ‘em?
The woman followed behind, as he energetically showed her the way. She was taking note of the surroundments, internally marking the hunting paths of Whitebark. There was a few spots it seemed for geese, and the prize was delicious if came truth. She had failed on the last round, but hoped not for this one.

"I'm coming, they are over there, yes?" Célnes lifted her head high as her snout pointed east, and faintly could here the squabble of their noises.
Toshi lifted his chin to breathe in any and all smells. That familiar geese smell wafted towards him, and their honks soon followed.

Yeah, they’re real close. I can hear ‘em! he whispered with a hint of excitement. He went from a sprint to a crawl. Those birds wouldn’t get away from them this time.

Toshi slowed to a halt as soon as he spotted the flock. Some were a bit spooked from the previous encounter, but none had noticed the hungry canines yet. Poor suckers will never no what hit ‘em!

He turned to the woman and whispered, Can I try to catch one? Can I, can I pleaaaaase?
The elken woman thought it would be amusing to watch him so, but geese were quite a terror when angry. If he got hurt under her watch, she would be to blame. She had to think about the long-run, rather then a fleeting show of entertainment, so Célnes shook her head at Toshi.

"It's best you watch, and another time alright?" A compromise, but didn't specify what the time would be, or the hunt to be. She'd probably choose a mouse for him, something easier, or a rabbit.

"Will you watch my back?"
He was kinda expecting that answer, but hey, at least he tried. Awww, alright, he sighed and hung his head. The disappointment was more of a flashy act rather than being genuine. He was back to the old, plucky Toshi moments later.

Course I will! he exclaimed a bit too loudly. He realized the error quickly, and corrected it by whispering, I mean, course I will.
A flashing smile to the younger boy, as she crouched to the hunters position. She gave one last look at him so, before lurking into the grass, to where the geese currently lay. Slowly did Célnes linger forward, a smile to her face, and a hunger to her stomach. She made sure that Toshi was no close behind, and when she gave a final look back, she pounced!

The flock flew and fled, and she caught none. However, it seemed one goose she clawed onto, simply avoided her so, and lunged right to where Toshi was. She ran to catch forward, but limbs could not match what wings could.
Toshi definitely watched her stalk the birds from a very safe distance. Ok, maybe he scooted up a little when he was sure she wouldn’t look back again. He just wanted the best seat in the house, that’s all!

Maybe that wasn’t the smartest decision. Célnes pounced, the birds went flying, and one of them was headed straight for him. Oh man, oh man, oh man. Did he wanna potentially he killed by a goose today? Of course he did. Life’s too short to be a coward.

I got it! he proclaimed before catching it. Oh he got it alright, but only the foot. Now he was taken on some bird joyride. How d’ y’ sterp dis fing?!! He cried as he practically went airborne.
She was rather quick to turn he heels and dart right where the bird was heading. Though surprisingly, Toshi managed to catch the geese, but not enough for a quick kill. Célnes  almost thought he would take off alongst with the bird, and she made a quick leap for it's kill.

A gallant air dive for the goose, the Déorwine grab it's long neck and crunched it hard. She wouldn't let go until the flailing stopped, and it finally went limp.. Only then, did she drop it to the ground.
It’s a good thing Célnes was quick to take the bird down, otherwise he’d be flown halfway across the globe. She gracefully plucked it from the air, bringing Toshi down too. Oof! he grunted. It’s a hell of a fall (not really), but that didn’t stop him from immediately standing up and leaping with joy.

You caught it! You caught it! he sang as he skipped around. Boy oh boy, when do we eat? I can’t wait any longer!
She grabbed the goose and dragged it toward him, prompting with her paw to enjoy the feast. Célnes was a rather clean eater, so she was plucking out the feathers to where she could. Though he was rather impatient, and so didn't mind if he lunged at it with a force. There was enough for two of them.
