With their claim on Ankyra Sound secured, Aktaiê now felt confident enough to leave its borders for short periods of time; particularly now, when their core was ready to add more recruits to their number. With the beach secluded by cliffs and the great sequoia forest, it was rare for non-pack wolves to approach their borders. That suited the Nereides just fine, but it did mean that finding wolves to bolster their ranks was a little more difficult.

Knowing that under the watch of Greyjoy and Caiaphas in particular, her kingdom would be safe, Aktaiê left under the moonlit night — seeking to both explore, and perhaps meet someone new. Her small journey led her to the river that spilled back into its mother ocean, and she paused here to investigate the verdant greenery; perhaps there would be herbs of use to them in this fertile delta that could not also be found within their borders.
Hey! So I don't actually know how their relationship would be, but they know eachother from Temiscyra, right?

Closely, Aella followed Aktaie's trail as she walked out of Ankyra. She was absolutely capable of defending herself, there was no doubt about it, But Aella still wanted to make sure no one bothered the Priestess during her moonlight amble.

It had been quiet times in the sound lately. Aella focused on keeping the borders safe from intruders, as well as keeping an eye on that Neophyte. There was something about Caiaphas that kept the Adept awake at night. Just a few days before, Aella had discovered a secret about her, and she was itching to tell the Matriarch everything about it.

More than her leader, Aella considered Aktaie her friend, and actually the only one she knew from her past life in Temiscyra, all the others dissipated one by one, even 'Thea had been gone for a while.
