RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Portia - July 28, 2016 Portia nods as the Heda speaks, her ears perked with interest. How nifty! A goal. Soemthing she could earn. That would give her poor, wandering paws something to do as she stayed. When the Heda quieted she gave a lone bark to grant her approval and excitement-- not that her opinion really mattered that much. She smiles sweetly, her tail thumping against the ground. She was with Drageda. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Rebekka - July 28, 2016 She recognizes some words as Heda goes on, but not all. Yet, it brings her great satisfaction to hear her name come from the leaders mouth, in some form of recognition that she will have to inquire about after. Perhaps, it would have been in her great interest to learn their new language while her lack of it was still acceptable, but now the barrier was becoming rather annoying. Yet, she did not know who to turn to in these situations, or who she would have the patience to sit down and learn with. Rebekka nods as their leader finishes, and while she doesn't fully understand, she knows she can trust Heda with the future of their tribe alone regardless of what that meant. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Wildfire - July 29, 2016 Lagertha's abrupt exit did not waylay the meeting for long. Wildfire smiled as Thuringwethil continued, thanking her remaining subordinates for their fealty and naming two in particular who had come a long way to serve beneath her. The new Bandrona peered off in the direction Gavriel had gone, a fond light in her amber eyes. She couldn't speak much to his involvement in the Drageda traditions but he was a marvelous guardian and traveling companion. She was excited for their upcoming mission trip. Wildfire swallowed thickly as the commander mentioned her spirit and death. The yearling was still working on getting familiar with the culture and this was one aspect that was particularly difficult to grasp. But she didn't have long to dwell on it. Thuringwethil began addressing the hierarchical changes and Wildfire's spine stiffened, her breath captured in her chest as she awaited the inevitable shout-out. The instant it came, she licked her lips and peered at the crowd. Nobody stood up and threw tomatoes at her, so that was good. A quick glance at a couple of the nearby faces—Portia's and Rebekka's, for instance—showed only positive reactions. Whether it was to the news of her promotion or the Heda's other announcements, Wildfire couldn't be sure. It was most likely the latter, though she was just grateful that nobody had spoken against her, at least not yet. She smiled a little tightly at Thuringwethil, then released a breath. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Dio - July 30, 2016 The Heda speaks, details come forward and take greater shape than before as a new structure is set out before them. His ears perked when his is mentioned: gona. For the time, he doesn't know its full meaning of it but knows there is one. He and Gavriel share it, so he has a pretty good idea. Either way, he makes quick work of committing it to memory and listens on. It is a lot to take in all at once, and he finds himself glancing towards Wildfire at some point while on the whole, he has nothing at all to take issue with. It is an interesting development and a turn of events he had work with. So, the goldfurred gona maintains his silence contentedly. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Gluskap - July 30, 2016
Great things were rising in the ranks of the dragon pack, and Gluska understood very little of it. The coywolf male was lost in the words spoken by the Heda, and only drawn into knowing when his own name was spoken by the dark leader. Fisa he mulled through his mind with a small and thoughtful frown. The woman spoke with such confidence in her subordinates and those around her, and she highlighted two members who had originated from her culture. Glu’s yellow eyes darted toward them with a quick flash and he lingered there for a while. These wolves admired the warrior type, and while he was a precocious fighter, there was so much about them that he did not know.
Sparked by a sudden thought, the coywolf wondered if he could learn. Booking the idea for a short while, the slender figure set out a plan to speak with the Heda about leaving for a while. He could travel as he had done before; he could learn their ways and then return to better combat the system with his new knowledge. While he was a trickster, he was an intelligent fiend and knew that his plans would fall quite short if he did not adapt to their ways. It would be time to depart the Teekon Wilds once more. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Antumbra - August 02, 2016 Last round. I'll archive this in a weekish or when everyone's replied. @Wildfire @Rebekka @Portia @Dio @Hush.
No one says anything and she looks around during the long moment of silence and considers why. With Lagertha gone, and a silent call for her never to come near again, she's left with several dedicated members to Drageda. It will take time for them all to come together as one but they will persevere. Seageda had and her rebirth will, just as well, even if they've become a ragtag team of those that don't quite understand. She would teach them, as would the others that do know, and ultimately they will form one entity that will continue the generations Seageda brought together. Thuringwethil waits for Gavriel's return for a moment, but when it does not show for a while—assuming he's still following the traitor out—she moves on. While there isn't much left to say, she straightens herself a little and nods her head. "Thank you. Your loyalty will be rewarded," she tells them with an uncharacteristic shake of her tail. Then, the dark leader lifts her nose and howls. Drageda. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Portia - August 02, 2016 Portia smiles as her leader speaks finally, and then tips her head back to howl. The pretty bell waits for her higher ranked packmates to join in before she too tips back her freckled crown and lest loose a long howl, once more showing her loyalty to Drageda and the wolves inside. She just prayed she could keep her feet grounded here longer.
RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Hush - August 02, 2016 Hush smiled with pride at his new rank. Rauna. He could not articulate the foreign word, but the sound of it was beautiful enough. The pack transitioned with ease, barring the one woman who left, to the new system. Not a hard change in the slightest for him. His tail beat the ground as Heda's howl rang through the sky, soon joined by Portia, who had named him Basil. He couldn't howl very well, but he tried his hardest to make it last, as crippled as the sound was. But Heda didn't need to hear his howl to know that he was loyal. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Dio - August 02, 2016 Matters progressed smoothly enough and eventually moved towards the conclusion. No one else spoke against anything the commander said, and already the female that had made her exit began to fade from memory -- not that there had ever been much more than a scent and a passing glance to begin with. Following the Heda's voice on the wind, and the singing howls of the others around him, he raised his pale muzzle to offer his own baritone to the rally. Together, Drageda would be unparalleled upon these slopes. RE: look to your kingdoms, i am coming for them all - Wildfire - August 03, 2016 She didn't know why she expected backlash. Perhaps she felt like an outsider or an impostor, though Wildfire knew that many of the wolves here did not hail from the commander's culture originally. They were willing recruits, prepared to be baptized in the ways of Drageda. Or maybe she just felt unqualified, deep down. In any case, nobody spoke against her and she was able to push her doubts aside for now. The yearling's lips curved into a small, satisfied smile as the wolves began to rally. She had never been able to howl that well, not since Junior's attack, yet the Bandrona raised her charcoal-smeared muzzle skyward and joined the song anyhow, lending a delicate note that flowed beneath the others' stronger voices. When her breath left her, Wildfire dropped her head and gazed at Thuringwethil, unashamed affection glimmering in her amber eyes. |
