have you seen what's happening out there? - Kaszandra - February 25, 2022 @Laurel maybe? Or others recruiting for Rivenwood.
Kaszandra had gone her own way. She followed the creek until the scent of Druid crossed her path again and, intrigued, she followed it. Evidently the gray girl was skilled when it came to fishing; her scent was steeped in the clean, cold taste of trout. The wanderer was not oblivious to the bypass; it was massive as any mountain ought to be. The nearer she got the more resplendent the terrain became. Rich forest dominated much of the landscape and she hid herself among the shadows of it, creeping ever closer to one of the valley entrances. As Kaszandra crossed in to the territory she found the mixed scent that Druid had carried upon her coat. She had been telling the truth — that she hadn't been alone, that there was a place, but that didn't mean much to Kas right now. She wanted to get the lay of the land without any reverse scrutiny and set her mind to lurking, watching, listening — for as long as she could, anyway. RE: have you seen what's happening out there? - Laurel - March 01, 2022 Laurel hated the thought that they were not with enough wolves to even keep their borders safe, secure, clear. Especially in her weakened state, where she couldn't stop anyone from harming herself or Sequoia's children. When another wolf crossed into their territory, it made Laurel's hackles raise, but by the time she found the other wolf, she had managed to get herself under control and plastered a pleasant, though somewhat wary smile on her face. Hello,Laurel greeted the stranger. You are on Rivenwood territory. When one had to inform others by word of it being their territory, well, it was perhaps not the most solid of claims, but Laurel watched for the stranger's response to see if she would respect their claim. RE: have you seen what's happening out there? - Kaszandra - March 02, 2022 Kas thought she was quick on her feet, quicker with her mind. A troublemaker as much as she was a solver of riddles. Yet her efforts to remain concealed while she studied the people here came to an abrupt end. A stranger came upon her — brown like dirt but light too, reminding Kaszandra of a riverbank during a drought. The woman said a name which Kas had heard before — Rivenwood. She had thought the riverside had been such a place, but after following the gray girl back here, some clarity was brought to her attention. It ain't much to look at.She answered the stranger, eyeing the trees and the rising cliffs on either side. The girl couldn't decide if she was lying or not. She drew further from the older woman while her ears twisted to every sound, in case of an ambush. I know you got food n' water here. Your ah, Druid said as much. The gray girl had brought fish home with her. The smell had drawn Kaszandra so there would be no denying it. How many mouths ya got? By my count, that's two. That seem a little.. small? RE: have you seen what's happening out there? - Laurel - March 03, 2022 Laurel felt irked immediately when the woman said that it wasn't much to look at. So what if it was true? You just didn't say these kind of things to others. Laurel's disdain showed on her face; she had no reasons to be pleasant with this wolf, after all. When the stranger said they had food and water, Laurel felt her hackles prick up. She was in no state to defend Rivenwood by herself if this stranger decided to raid their reserves or hunt on their lands, unfortunately. When the stranger mentioned Druid, it clicked for Laurel. She must be the strange woman that Druid had met not far from the territory! The one she considered recruiting, but decided against because she was just so weird. There's more,Laurel said, her tone guarded. Witch, at least, and Sequoia. And... They're just not here right now — but we'll get them back. She didn't really want to share this information, as she knew nothing about the stranger, and frowned after she unintentionally shared it. |
