bat looked fine to the surface to tristan, who was mostly oblivious to shit anyway. well, sometimes. he certainly wasn't stupid. anyway, as bat approached, tristan's smile widened and he called out a friendly hey pup! in return. he dipped to give her a quick nudge to the cheek, which actually came off a little more affectionate than he'd meant it -- but subconsciously... whatever, he played it off by not acknowledging it. she imagined it, if she noticed anything.
