Lucca was super about this. Fin watched him with a smile as she scraped at the ground with her paws. She wondered what sort of wolf he would grow into. He and all of his siblings were so alike. She imagined that they would all pick up the mercenary title since they were all such ferocious little beasts. But they each seemed to have other interests as well, though less easily defined. Maybe this one would be a hunter, or maybe a naturalist. She was sure that one of them would end up being a scout as the Blackthorns so often did. She was eager to see how they would turn out, but also reluctant to let them grow any bigger than they were right now.

And suddenly there was a worm flying at her face.

Fin flinched visibly away as it came towards her, barely getting out of the way of it smacking right into her muzzle. She stepped back away from it, staring at the squirming thing with disgust. She momentarily forgot that she was supposed to be hiding the fact that she hated these things from her son as she cringed at it, revulsion visible on her face.
