Bearclaw Valley “What am I to you?”

The weight left her body eventually while her entire body still tingled in the aftermath of what they had done. With a soft smile on her face she remained on the ground, feeling as though aglow; this felt better than anything she had ever felt. She startled briefly when he lay down beside her, not used to this kind of affinity, and glanced his way briefly, the almost at-peace smile still on her face.

After what felt like a really long time Xan uttered a single question. "What?" Laurel said, the word accompanied with a laugh. She'd already forgotten with what excuse she had lured him into this, but was reminded suddenly. "Don't worry, I won't leave..." She reached out gingerly to nip at his nose while she mentally added 'maybe I will stay if you leave her', but Laurel didn't want to ruin the nice moment so stayed her tongue. She considered it was likely a lie. Eventually, everyone either left her or stopped caring, driving her to leave them. Still, though, Laurel figured she'd just see where things went and how long she and Indra would be able to be 'round. For now, she liked here, this — Laurel was a very day-to-day living wolf, so she worried little about the things that bothered Xan right now. Today was good. That's all she needed.
