She was glad that they got the fox before she got to whelp. Valette was getting more keen in having only babies herself this spring. Not even foxes would steal from her young. She tried to picture her future young with Steady. She wanted it badly.

She cleared her throat to stop those thoughts. "Feel free to have her as a meal, Day," she offered to him. Maybe it would be a nice thing for his own young to play with and learn how to open a carcass. She wasn't sure how far they were after all.
