Alya listened with rapt attention to Hydra's woes. She could not usually summon the desire to care about the problems of others, but to Alya, her sisters were part of the collective self of the Cerberus. Her self-centered nature, therefore, remained intact.

Three heads turned with interest toward the sounds of scuffle. Alya didn't recognize either wolf, but that hardly mattered when Hydra gave her command. Dutifully, the girl set off opposite of Lyra, fanning and closing in just as Hydra wanted. And, like she always did in these cases, Alya served as a distraction for her more stealthy and more timid - respectively - sisters. When she closed in on the pale wolf's left (Hydra's right), she loosed a barrage of loud, fearsome barks, hopefully drawing the boy's full attention, and thus, giving Lyra and Hydra a chance to deal some damage.
