Wild Berry Meadow you're an original sin

Alya was preoccupied. There was a mountain in the distance she had never noticed before, and while part of her wanted to scale it, she knew that it was too far to get back to Moonspear before she was missed, and her family needed her right then. Months and months had passed since the last time she hadn't felt needed. It was wearing her down in ways she did not understand.

She sniffed along the riverbank, trying her best not to look up at the glorious peak in the distance, but in the end, could not help but stop and stare. A terrible longing rose up in the woman's heart as she gazed up at the proud, jagged peak. One day, she would climb that mountain. One day, she would be unchained from her family's sorrow, and she and her sisters would run wild and free.

Such was her introspection that she did not hear the fall of paws behind her - a dangerous thing, these days.
