His disinterest and weariness kept him from questioning or even thinking about the names that passed between Cicero and the stranger; not even his littermate's inquiry could rouse a response from him like it normally would have. He padded along almost absent-mindedly, with a faraway look that was cast to the snow just ahead of him.
