Despite traveling a good space between the lair and still not coming across the perfect places to call home, he felt no worry. How could he be worried amongst such a kind group? Everything happening in the past had been somewhat spontaneous, he assumed their decision on a territory would be similar. It would just happen, just like Korei happened to join him, Alarian happened to follow, and so on and so forth. The stream seemed a good place to pause the voyage, leaning forward and lapping up a quick drink from the trickling water.
The young male didn't mind all the walking but feared the opinion of his new pack mate - this forced him to stop more often than usual. Not wanting to tire the others out, especially those not accustomed to the harsh winters and long-term trek.

She'd split off a little from the main group, searching for another trail that might lead to a successful kill. With all the moving, it would be hard to really scout out a place, even though they took frequent breaks. She'd peeled off to follow the trail an hour or so before, hunger spurring her on to eventually catch a hare and encountering an angry raccoon, who's den she'd practically fallen into on her way to find it.
Hare clasped loosely in her jaws, she wandered in the general direction she'd seen them heading last, soon latching onto their trail. Her gaze tracked to Lilly, wondering if perhaps she ought to offer the hare to her. Lainie rejected that idea when she realized she was part of a group and would likely look like a massive asshole if she didn't share.
She pad up to the rest, somewhat awkwardly dropping the hare with a quick glance around that sought to convey that it ought to be shared. Gaze flickering once to Lilly, and deciding that she ought to actually talk to the girl sometime, she slipped over to the stream and drank heartily.

Xahi smiled as she walked alongside her companions. She was flanking Lennon, up at the front but not heading the...pack? Yes, this was their own amazing little pack. Xahi could not be happier in this group. No longer was she a sad lonely she-wolf living unaccompanied in the wilderness. She would follow the path of her mother, a pack wolf, and find friendship and love here.
Xahi had even begun to open up to the newer packmates. Yes, she was also quite new, but these wolves had arrived after her, and at first she was extremely uncomfortable. Xahi finally understood how Alarian and Korei had felt when she had first arrived. However, Xahi was building bridgews steadily. Now was the time to accept these people into her life.
The streamlined female even nudged Lainie playfully in congrats for her catch. "Looks good," she spoke smoothly, attempting a warm smile. Xahi would be welcoming if it killed her. She needed to get out of her weird, reserved headspace. If others were kind to her, she had to do the same. After speaking with Lainie, the girl returned ot her position flanking Lennon. This was all going to turn out wonderfully.

despite the merriment of the rest of the gang, lanawyn's mood was decidedly sour. it wasn't because they hadn't found a home, it wasn't because of the cold.. it was becuase she felt left out.
everyone was falling in love left in right with everyone — except for her. she was, admittedly, used to being doted on and a heat crept from her stomach and into her cheeks any time she met the eyes of a packmate.
alarian had made it clear that lennon and korei were his lovers, and yet it seemed as if the girl with seaglass eyes was interested in him, too. and then her niece was interested in that girl.
figures.
perhaps, she thinks, she deserves to feel like this, and with a forlorn glance at those who trailed behind she bent her head to the river and drank.

A tremendous yawn burst its way from Lily's mouth as they stopped by the stream, and the black-pelted girl stretched languorously, laying down on the cool down with an air of palpable relief.
She was exhausted! They had been traveling for days, and there seemed no end in sight. What was the goal? She knew that Lennon and Alarian were trying to find a good home for all of them, but what exactly were they looking for, anyway? Lily had spotted several places that would work just fine.
Hell, the cave had been just fine, if a little cramped.
Lily watched the others drink, noticing the several glances Lainie cast her way. She smiled in wry amusement. It seemed the girl was developing a sort of attraction for her, and while she acknowledged this, she didn't quite know what to do about it, yet. With a small sigh, she placed her head on her paws and stared wistfully at Lennon, shooting envious looks toward Xahi and Alarian.
What would it take to earn a place by the man's side?

Korei was becoming most tired of these travels. How far would they go now, how long would it take to get to where they were going? Plus, the group had grown by a lot. She stuck toward the back, lingering a bit behind now. Quietly she hummed to herself, eyes going back and forth between her paws and the others around.

once they had all had their fill, lennon, alarian, and korei led the group with the rest of the girls following close behind. although they did not know it, the weary travelers would soon reach the destination they would call home.
