queenie recoils from his touch, making his stomach sink. but she'd been the one who came to him -- how else is he supposed to interpret that? still, the frost in her voice makes him take a step back in return, feeling suddenly ashamed of himself. maybe he'd taken advantage? maybe he was supposed to tell her no? 

well. there's no going back now, and delight is, at his core, a loyalist. clearly she doesn't want to talk about.. whatever it is they've just gotten themselves in to, so he takes a breath and lets it go. when he speaks again, his voice is measured: "okay." he doesn't make a move to leave, nor does he try to approach her again. "do you want me to stay?" he asks, instead, leaving the ball in her court -- honestly, he doesn't know what the right move is here, and is desperate for a cue.
